Job Description

The Vendor Risk Manager is responsible to manage, execute and improve upon Prime's oversight and risk management program for third party vendors. This position collaborates with stakeholders, vendor managers, and business partners to develop appropriate policies and procedures, tools and templates, and collateral materials to facilitate effective and efficient third-party vendor oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor ongoing vendor management and oversight activities across Prime; ensure program objectives are met; serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on inquiries related to Prime's Vendor Management & Oversight Office and Program (VMO)
  • Develop appropriate policies and procedures, tools and templates, and collateral materials to facilitate the management and execution of an effective third-party vendor oversight program
  • Socialize VMO objectives to ensure awareness across Prime business areas and stakeholder groups
  • Provide training and oversight to vendor managers to ensure VMO activities are completed thoroughly and on a timely basis
  • Develop key metrics and generate a scorecard to track and report on VMO progress, effectiveness, and success; develop and maintain a central repository for VMO related documents including document retention policies
  • Serve as the VMO's point of contact for responses to client audits and inquiries related to Prime's oversight and management of third-party vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is require
  • 5 years of work experience in third-party risk management, strategic sourcing, vendor contracting, vendor management and/or supplier relationship management
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, collaborate, and manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with third party vendor oversight requirements as set forth by CMS, HIPAA, accreditation organizations, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PBM/health care experience
  • Project management experience
  • Vendor manager or VMO experience

Physical Demands

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Potential pay for this position ranges from $81,000.00 - $138,000.00 based on experience and skills.
