A little about this role:

Our Sales Assistants  National Accounts play a crucial role working hand in hand with our National Account Executives to support the day-to-day operations of our largest nationwide retailers, such as Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Kroger, Albertsons/Safeway, HEB, Publix, or Wegmans. This full-time position involves a variety of responsibilities, from submitting promotions and new items to assisting with presentation materials and maintaining communication with our manufacturer partners when necessary.

A day in the life:

  • Sales Support – as a Sales Assistant – National Accounts, you’d be responsible for assisting with routine and daily tasks as defined by the Senior Director of Sales Administration.  Completing and submitting monthly retail promotions and new vendor/item setups (either via template or online portal), upkeep of data in our systems, building and maintaining TEAMS tools, updating internal databases, running sales reports, providing promotion confirmations and various tracker projects can be expected.
  • Customer Support – manage requests from our manufacturer customers as well as our national retail customers.  As a secondary contact to the sales team, your role is to build relationships with our customers by being responsive, professional, and well-versed in the account and brands you support.
  • Attention to Detail  In this role, precision is paramount. You will be responsible for meticulously completing all forms and submissions, ensuring every detail is accurate. This includes identifying and addressing discrepancies in item and promotion data, thoroughly researching any issues that arise, and following through to ensure all problems are resolved effectively. Your ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and thoroughness will be crucial to our success.
  • Communication is Essential  In this position, you are expected to engage in value-added, solution-oriented, positive, and timely communication, both internally and externally. Given the deadline-driven nature of this role, it is crucial to meet all deadlines while maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the process. As a Sales Assistant – National Accounts, you will manage and prioritize all incoming action requests, often requiring quick turnaround times. Your ability to communicate effectively will be a key factor in achieving our goals.

What we are looking for:

  • 5-7 years administrative experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook 
  • Prior experience working with Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Kroger, Albertsons/Safeway, HEB, Publix, or Wegmans is a plus
  • Well organized, detail oriented, self-starter with strong administrative, customer service, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize and follow through with deadlines
  • Dependable, diplomatic person, able to problem-solve successfully with a wide variety of people and issues
  • Flexibility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
