Job description

Contracts & Compliance Administrator
  • Supporting the business with compliance and regulatory change projects;
  • Ensuring contractor and umbrella on-boarding meets regulatory requirements and company standards, including:
  • Conducting background checks
  • Taking references, if required
  • Vetting documents for contractors and umbrella companies
  • Liaising with the company’s external compliance advisor
  • Escalating non-conformance to the head of the Contracts & Compliance team.
  • Overseeing the onboarding process, including:
  • Setting contractors up on the compliance and timesheet systems
  • Saving documents and updating the database
  • Issuing paperwork for assignments
  • Creating compliance reports, ensuring that the content is accurate and up to date and that they are produced in a timely manner and to a high quality;
  • Maintaining an annual reporting calendar (e.g. HMRC deadlines) and ensuring all departments are aware of their reporting obligations and deadlines;
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory changes in the UK, EU and other jurisdictions in which the firm conducts business; and
  • Assisting the Contract Specialists with implementing new client frameworks and developing flow down clauses for contractors.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have experience in and shall have the following characteristics:
  • A high attention to detail;
  • A developing understanding and working knowledge of the recruitment industry and compliance standards within the EU and UK;
  • The ability to communicate with and advise all levels of seniority in the business;
  • Able to analyse regulatory and reputational risk and where necessary escalate matters to the appropriate management level;
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills / daily planning;
  • A positive driver for change/forward thinking;
  • Demonstrate an open and co-operative approach with external advisors and suppliers;
  • Approaches work with a solution-based focus; and
  • Able to work independently and towards deadlines but also collaboratively as a team player.

Benefits
UK Working Hours: 8 am - 5 pm
Location: Remote
Salary Range: R20 000 - R25 000
