The position of NOC Engineer II requires an engineering-focused technical professional who will provide technical support and guidance to customers. The ideal candidate is technical with some hands-on experience, customer focused, proactive, with the drive and determination to learn about emerging network and security technologies. This position is suited to an entry-level engineer looking to expand their knowledge and grow their career.

Responsibilities
Provides Level 1 and 2 support for network alerts and related problems
Troubleshoot network issues and monitor managed client networks
Perform proactive maintenance and log review of network and security appliances
Install and configure network devices: routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
Escalates advanced issues to Cisco TAC and Senior Engineers
Skills And Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalency, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
An active CCNA certification is required
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols and operations
Proficiency with Cisco IOS configuration and recommended best practices
Ability to use essential network troubleshooting tools
Passion to learn and grow professionally
Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
Ability to multitask
Strong oral and written English communication skills
Preferred Experience
2+ years of hands-on experience working with Cisco networking equipment, including troubleshooting of network-related issues including documentation.
Physical Demands
Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 20 lbs.)
Occasional standing/walking
Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
