Job description

Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in developing, organizing and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball program. This is a part-time stipend position, paid bi-weekly.

The Assistant Coach must be able to build positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and campus partners. They will help support the athletic, academic and personal development of the Women’s Basketball team with a commitment to sportsmanship, respect, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Assist the Head Coach with various aspects of coaching, such as planning and executing practices, video review, opponent scouting, and game planning
Recruit prospective student-athletes.
Manage road game travel, including driving the team – when needed – to road games in Pratt Institute vans.
Follow NCAA Division III and Atlantic East Conference rules and regulations and pass the annual Coaches Exam
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Basketball Coaching / Playing experience
Availability to work mornings and weekends for practices and games is a must
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to drive a 12-passenger van
Ability to thrive in a diverse and fast-paced environment is crucial
Demonstrate effective and excellent leadership, motivational, organizational and interpersonal skills
Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with minimal supervision.
Experience working with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
