This position performs system design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support responsibilities, requiring a thorough working knowledge of infrastructure technologies including, but not limited to, servers, storage systems, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, and unified communication systems. You are a skilled communicator on all levels and dedicated to providing top-notch customer service. Your meticulous attention to detail is shown through your timekeeping, documentation, and execution of the technical work.
You know how to:
- Develop detailed project plans, including functional specifications, design documents, test plans, and identifying all major milestones, risks and user impacting events.
- Manage a project workload of between 5-15 concurrent client-facing projects ranging in size from 8 hours to over 100 hours.
- Consult with technical and business partners and serve as a consulting resource to support client-hosted installations and implementations.
- Follow a statement of work (SOW) and complete all tasks within the SOW.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g. sales, project management, solution engineering) and external customers to define deliverables.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality service. Demonstrate effective time management skills.
- Initiate and prepare accurate documentation, reports, schedules, time and expense tracking, and spreadsheets as directed or required by client needs, departmental procedures, and Company policy.
Advanced working experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the following technologies:
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches and associated technologies.
- Routers used for internal routing, ISP connectivity and MPLS deployment. Ability to install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot business and enterprise class wireless solutions.
- Private and public cloud-based networking solutions including but not limited to virtual networks, site to site connectivity, virtual firewalls, and routing tables.
- Business and enterprise class servers including virtualization in single and clustered scenarios using Microsoft and VMware hypervisors.
- Business and enterprise class storage systems including but not limited to network attached storage systems. This includes iSCSI and fiber connected systems.
- Domain controllers, file servers, print servers, application servers and remote access servers.
- VoIP/UC deployments. This includes, but is not limited to VLAN support, routing support and QoS support
- Account for accurate and daily time entry for billable/utilization hours.
- Support escalation incidents and support on-call duty requirements.
Advanced working knowledge in the following technologies:
- Microsoft Operations Systems
- Microsoft Server 2012 – present
- Workstation/server hardware
- Peripheral devices including printers and scanners
- Routers, switches, and firewalls
- Cloud and virtualization-based technologies
- Client/Server applications
- Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Azure Active Directory, Intune/Endpoint Manager)
- Azure IaaS and Azure Virtual Desktop
- E-mail Spam Security and Filtering Solutions
- Modern File projects and migrations
- Microsoft Windows 2012 – present
- Microsoft Exchange 2010 – present
- Networking technologies basic switching, firewall and wireless configuration and troubleshooting
The following certifications are desirable:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Administrator (MCSA)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
Pay and Benefits
This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely.
Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: $115,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role. Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)
