We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Solutions Director of Product Management to lead the global product portfolio spanning software platforms, diagnostic hardware, and AI solutions in the primary eye care market. This role is responsible for defining and executing the product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy across optometry and medical optometry channels, with a focus on driving customer adoption, regulatory readiness, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and evolve the global product strategy across SaaS platforms, imaging hardware diagnostic devices and AI-based SaMD tools.
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of product managers and owners across multiple geographies.
Translate market insights, customer needs, and clinical workflows into scalable solutions.
Define product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and commercial models aligned with company strategy.
Build robust business cases for new product development, including customer economic value modeling, ROI calculators, and solution pricing frameworks.
Partner closely with R&D, Regulatory, Sales, Marketing, and Clinical Affairs to drive execution.
Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and global standards (e.g., SaMD, MDR, FDA).
Identify and assess new market opportunities, especially those tied to AI/ML, EMR integrations, and telehealth.
Build voice of customer programs, especially with optometry networks, buying groups, and academic partnerships.
Support global product launches, pricing strategy, and adoption KPIs.
Serve as the product leadership voice in strategic partnerships and M&A evaluations in the eye care sector.
Qualifications:
10+ years in product management, with 5+ years at senior leadership level
Experience across medical devices, software (SaaS), and AI/ML products
Proven success in launching solutions in eye care, health tech, or diagnostics
Strong understanding of optometry and medical optometry practice dynamics
Familiarity with global regulatory environments (FDA, CE, MDR, etc.)
Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
Strong business acumen and ability to drive commercial outcomes
Base Pay:
Expected Base Pay Range: $220,000 to $280,000 Annualized
The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level, and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it, in good faith, believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
Bonus eligible:
In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a 20% annual bonus.
