Job description

Telespazio Belgium can count on almost 40 years of experience in Space Operations Service & Engineering activities.

We provide a significant contribution to the most major Space programs of the European Space Agency. Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.

Currently, we are looking for a highly enthusiastic HR HSE Assistant who will work for Telespazio Belgium, in Katwijk Aan Zee, The Netherlands.

What is expected from you:

  • Coordination of HSE policies.
  • Prevention officer’s tasks are assigned to this role.
  • Keeping and recording industrial accidents.
  • Identify and reports hazards in the workplace.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and relevant procedures.
  • Coordinate HR-related communications and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with GDPR and internal policies.
  • Organizing the cooperation with the emergency response team.
  • Managing the well-being & balance support and other benefits of the HR department;
  • Follow up with suppliers and managing the overall administration.
  • Ensure compliance to certification requirements, laws and regulations, in liaise with the legal department and the relevant departments in other locations.
  • Focal point for the formalization of the Risk Assessment & Evaluation (RI&E); Responsible for the progress and completion of actions.
  • Perform risk assessments – coordinates audits.
  • Coordinating informative trainings on different health and safety awareness topics.
  • Provide support to the HR manager on identification of the main objectives to be achieved in terms of occupational health, safety and environmental sustainability.
  • Identify points of improvement in processes and reports them to the Head of HR department.
  • Focal point for the employees and the company doctor about all absenteeism matters.
  • Ensure compliance to the Arbo Wet & Wet verbetering poortwachter: Responsible for the long-term sick leaves (documentation, administration & follow up) and the preventive actions according to the advice of the company doctor.
  • Provide information to the client, and internal departments about the status of sick leaves.
  • Keep accurate internal records, provides regular reports to the management.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and assist in HR audits and compliance checks.

What you offer:

  • Diploma MVK or HVK and NEBOSH certificate, or has experience and is willing to follow a training course, for example MVK, VCA or
  • Has completed or will soon complete an MBO or HBO Safety Science
  • Knowledge of risk management and emergency procedures on board.
  • Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations in the field of health and safety; Knowledge ofthe Arbo wet / Wet verbetering poortwachter is an asset
