Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer all aspects of the fixed equipment mechanical integrity, including inspection, repairs, and life cycle planning 
  • Conduct equipment / plant inspections / audits including vibration and thermal inspections 
  • Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) on failed equipment / systems 
  • Monitor and administer all mechanical PdMs and PMs programs, 
  • Provide equipment spare parts recommendations  
  • Research equipment to determine spare parts required  
  • Support the start-up of new equipment. Evaluate equipment installation and start-ups   
  • Provide project management and support for equipment / system upgrades including capital projects    
  • Provide technical training and coaching to maintenance team members 
  • Build PdM’s & PM on newly install capital equipment 
  • Provide technical support for mills, pumps and pump seals 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering required, Mechanical Preferred 
  • 3 years Industrial experience required, Chemical Manufacturing experience a plus  
  • Significant verifiable mechanical and electrical experience and training, preferably in an industrial or similar environment 
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills 
  • Strong equipment / process technical knowledge 
  • Familiarity with API codes, particularly 510, 570, and 650 
  • Able to speak, read, write and understand English 
  • Able to perform mathematical equations necessary for position's essential duties 
  • Able to recognize and communicate to management any difficulties or problems as related to this position's essential duties and responsibilities 
  • Familiarity with programs such as PCMS and ERP such as Navision preferred 
  • Good understanding of computerized maintenance management programs 
  • Strong computer-based skills (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) 
  • CMRP certification preferred
