What The Information Technology Department Does At Worldwide
The IT department is made up of seasoned professionals united in one common goal: to keep Worldwide’s technical infrastructure operating at the highest levels for our employees and our customers. We are a global team comprised of numerous professionals including cyber security, artificial intelligence, IT helpdesk, application support, and more.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide data strategy, including governance, mastering, cleansing, and architecture.
- Lead enterprise data lake development and ensure scalable, secure data infrastructure.
- Modernize integrations using a hub-and-spoke model across clinical, operational, and corporate systems.
- Standardize integration protocols and collaborate with IT and business units for seamless data flow.
- Ensure data security and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 standards.
- Design infrastructure to support AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Build and lead cross-functional data teams; select and implement modern data platforms.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Experience with cloud platforms and tools like AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and Informatica.
- Skilled in Python, R, SQL, Spark, and modern data engineering and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics frameworks.
- Certifications in data management or cloud architecture (e.g., CDMP, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on scalable, real-world solutions.
- Strategic thinker with ability to turn complex data challenges into actionable business opportunities.
- Proven project management skills; delivers complex initiatives on time and within budget.
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years in data operations or integration, including 5+ years leading global matrix teams.
- Proven success building enterprise data lakes and integration platforms in CRO or life sciences.
- Familiar with clinical systems like EDC, eTMF, CTMS, SAS, and data standards like CDISC.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy, 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, and security protocols.
- Experienced in leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
- Excellent communicator and leader with ability to influence stakeholders and inspire high-performing teams.
