Job description

Squarespace Dublin is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join and support the local IT team. The ideal candidate will provide essential IT support for our Dublin office during their working hours. This role is an entry level position and will focus on delivering high-quality assistance to staff with day-to-day technical issues.

You will work out of our Dublin office and reports to the Director of IT in New York City.

You'll Get To…
  • Provide high quality support to Squarespace staff, both in the office and remote, in areas such as: Mac/OS X, AV, printers, basic networking issues, remote access, internal web applications, and mobile devices
  • Assist staff and guests with phone, video and/or video conferencing equipment
  • Help run and update local video conferencing solutions and other telecommunications channels used within the Dublin office during working hours
  • Assist with onboarding new hires in the Dublin office by assisting with the provisioning of computers, new accounts, and building access, likely in collaboration with a full-time team member
  • Assist with asset management (computers, monitors, other hardware, software licenses, etc.) for the Dublin office, potentially focusing on specific tasks or a subset of assets.
  • Provide basic administration and support for common business applications such as Google GSuite, Atlassian, Dropbox, Microsoft Office, and Slack. The level of administrative access and support may be focused on local needs.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues for OS X machines
Who We're Looking For
  • Experience as part of an IT team is beneficial. Experience within a remote team.
  • Experience with troubleshooting both software and hardware of OS X machines
  • Familiarity with administration and support of business applications such as: Google GSuite, Atlassian, Dropbox, Microsoft Office, Slack, Okta, Atlassian etc.
  • Basic understanding of VPN and VoIP setup/troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting LAN and wireless networks.
  • Basic understanding of information security best practices
  • Experience with fleet management (JAMF) systems and basic system imaging and/or package management (Homebrew, Autopackage, etc.)
  • Experience producing webcast ready AV control rooms for large presentation spaces
  • Basic understanding of information security best practices
