Job description

We're looking for a WordPress Developer to join our team and help us build powerful, high-performance websites using custom Gutenberg blocks, FSE, and modern front-end technologies.

This developer will also work on Figma plugin development that bridges design and WordPress code.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks using React + TypeScript.
  • Develop Full Site Editing (FSE) themes aligned with modern WordPress practices.
  • Collaborate on Figma plugin development using the Figma API and Node.js.
  • Write clean, scalable PHP code using object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Optimize performance across frontend, backend, and database layers.
  • Work in an AWS + Plesk environment and support reliable, secure deployments.

What We're Looking For

  • Expertise in custom Gutenberg block development (React + TypeScript + PHP).
  • Strong experience in PHP (OOP) and WordPress APIs (theme/plugin/block).
  • Proficiency with PHPUnit for backend testing and Jest for frontend/component testing.
  • Experience with Node.js, especially for tooling and API integrations.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Flexbox, and CSS Grid.
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+) and async handling (AJAX, REST APIs).
  • Solid understanding of MySQL, database performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with Webpack, npm/yarn, Git, and front-end build tools.
  • Strong grasp of performance best practices, including lazy loading, caching, and code splitting.
  • Awareness of accessibility (a11y) and semantic SEO-friendly HTML.
  • Comfortable using Linear, Slack, and Github.
  • Able to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building Figma plugins or working with the Figma API.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL in a WordPress context.
  • Background in automated testing (Jest, Cypress).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for WordPress.
  • Knowledge of Next.js for headless or hybrid setups.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful services beyond WordPress.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions for deployment and automation.
