Job Description:
This role focuses on building backend data systems that support the secure, standards-based exchange of healthcare information. You'll play a critical role in developing and optimizing pipelines that automate how clinical records are retrieved, transformed, and transferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working with HL7/FHIR standards, backend APIs, ETL tools, and AWS services in a production environment.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in .NET/C#
• Deep expertise of HL7/FHIR protocols and healthcare data formats
• Hands-on recent experience building ETL pipelines using Apache NiFi
• Must have hands-on Apache NiFi coding experience
• Proficient with AWS, including:
  • Glue (ETL)
  • Lambda (serverless backend functions)
  • S3/RDS (data storage and management)
  • API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS/SQS (integration/messaging)
  • Mission Cloud

• Familiar with headless system architectures and non-UI data workflows
• Able to independently troubleshoot backend issues and improve system reliability

• Experience with Apache NiFi v1.27+
• Familiarity with AWS HealthLake or other FHIR-native healthcare data services
• Prior work developing platforms that support ROI (Release of Information) or patient data exchange
• AWS Certifications
• Background in microservices and Kubernetes-based deployments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
