Lead Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: Position is based in Charlotte, NC, some teleworking may be permitted. Travel to Lowe’s offices may be required. 

Resolves complex problems spanning multiple applications to drive improvements across portfolios; leads projects with significant business implications, participates in planning and priority estimates, and advises Software Engineers; executes with limited guidance. Leads development of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions to ensure specifications are flexible, scalable, and maintainable and meet architectural standards. Educates others on current architectural standards and guidelines to drive efficiency when leading the design efforts of complex business and enterprise software solutions. Supports Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for large, complex, cross-functional application initiatives by providing insight to testing teams in order to ensure the appropriate depth of test coverage. Mentors and advises others in all software development lifecycle phases by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls. Communicates changes in software architecture and coaches others to apply this understanding to software solutions; resolves escalated issues. Leads efforts to improve engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices. Solves complex cross-functional architecture/design and business problems; solutions are extensible; works to simplify, optimize, remove bottlenecks. Mentors and advises others, sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Bachelor’s Degree* in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of experience in any job title/occupation involving software development or a related field. *Employer will accept single degree or combination of degrees, diplomas and/or professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.

•    Must have 7 years of experience in:
•    Building dynamic web applications using features such as routing, state management and asynchronous data fetching with (AngularJS/ReactJS), JavaScript, and Typescript.

•    Must have 6 years of experience in:
•    Building a reusable UI component library/framework containing common UI elements with JavaScript, React and Webpack.

•    Must have 4 years of experience in:
•    Designing and building REST APIs using NodeJS and Java;
•    Building micro frontend architecture using React, Redux, Webpack and EmotionJS/StyledComponents; and
•    Building the high performance server side rendered application by using frontend technologies like React/Angular.

•    Must have 3 years of experience in: 
o    Building SOAP API using JAVA and designing an application that provision through the API.

•    Must have 2 years of experience in:
•    Containerization of applications using Docker;
•    Design, implement and maintain web pages using content management system (CMS) tool Adobe Experience Manager (AEM);
•    Building the static assets server by using Nginx and Minio;
•    Managing and creating custom plugins in the Backstage;
•    Building the node application to collect the web application analytics by using Kafka and Postgres; and
•    Integrating the OIDC(Forgerock/Siteminder) with PKCE or Implicit flow in the frontend application.
