EDI Integration Specialist – Azure & BizTalk
Remote Position
12+ Months Project

We are seeking a hands-on EDI Integration Specialist with strong experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) leveraging both Azure Integration Services and Microsoft BizTalk Server. The ideal candidate will have a proven background working with X12 and EDIFACT message standards, particularly in supply chain transactions such as Purchase Orders, Invoices, Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs), and Change Orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain EDI integrations using Azure Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, and Functions.
Support and enhance existing integrations built on BizTalk Server.
Analyze and translate business requirements into EDI solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions and resolve processing issues.
Migrate and modernize legacy BizTalk solutions to Azure as required.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and trading partners to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

7+ years of EDI implementation experience.
Hands-on experience with both Azure Integration Services and Microsoft BizTalk Server.
Strong understanding of X12 and EDIFACT message formats.
Experience with key EDI transactions: 850 (PO), 810 (Invoice), 856 (ASN), and 860 (PO Change).
Familiarity with EDI communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Ability to upskill quickly on Azure if prior experience is heavier on BizTalk.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience migrating BizTalk EDI solutions to Azure.
Knowledge of mapping tools and schema validation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with third-party EDI VANs or integrators.
Hands on Dev role with EDI on Azure Integrated Services (if the resource has EDI back on BIztalk could also be considered but there would be some level of upskill needed here)
Experience on EDI with X12 / EDIFACT messages (preferrable to have experience with Purchase Orders, Invoices, ASNs, change orders through EDI)

Note: EDI with Azure or EDI with Biztalk experience is needed, it’s NOT either or one of them. Both skillsets needed.
