The Golf Club At Lansdowne is part of the Lansdowne Resort located in Leesburg Virginia. The Lansdowne Resort opened in 1991 as a resort with one golf course for locals who wanted a short getaway from Washington DC. In 2005, the property went through a major expansion and renovation to add: 27 more holes of championship golf, full-service club house with restaurant and retail facilities, 2 outdoor pools, event spaces, and new spa. Today, Lansdowne Resort is owned by Dejia, LLC. The resort is a sanctuary of approachable sophistication where you can feel at ease and inspired by the destination and pay homage to our heritage in the Potomac River Valley.

Job Description
This position entails a dual role that supports the Agronomy Department. This dual role entails maintenance of the golf course as well as support tasks for the mechanical team supporting the equipment used for the maintenance of the golf grounds. The candidate will support both the Assistant Superintendent of Agronomy and the Equipment Manager.

What You Will Do
Complete assigned tasks within given time limits
Drive a maintenance vehicle
Drive a tractor
Operate several different types of mowers
Perform manual labor as needed such as:
Hand-watering areas without irrigation
Rake bunkers
Snow removal
Assist with handling preventative maintenance, repairs, and setup of all equipment and licensed vehicles used by the crew at the grounds maintenance facility
Inspect, replace/repair a wide variety of machinery used to keep the golf grounds in good condition.
Assist in the maintenance of inventory of parts and supplies
Assist with organizing maintenance records, parts manuals, and tools
Keep the shop clean and orderly
QUALIFIICATIONS
No previous experience required
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to use technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications,
Fluent in the English language
Must have a valid driver’s license
