About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile QA Engineer to join our team and lead the quality assurance efforts for a Native mobile application. This role is crucial to ensuring a seamless and bug-free experience across iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in mobile testing, a proactive mindset for automation, and a clear understanding of the nuances of cross-platform development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for our React Native mobile application across iOS and Android.
• Identify and validate common mobile-specific issues, including OS-specific behavior, device compatibility, network conditions, and performance-related bugs.
• Implement and maintain automated mobile tests using tools such as Appium, Detox, or similar frameworks.
• Develop strategies for regression testing and exploratory testing for both operating systems.
• Leverage device farms or emulators/simulators (e.g., BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm) for scalable testing across multiple OS/device combinations.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Log, track, and triage bugs effectively using tools like JIRA or equivalent.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to provide QA input.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mobile application QA, with strong proficiency in testing Native apps.
• Demonstrated experience testing on both Android and iOS platforms, including awareness of their unique test challenges and behaviors.
• Experience with Appium or equivalent mobile test automation tools is required.
• Familiarity with mobile build/deployment processes, including managing test builds via TestFlight, Firebase App Distribution, etc.
• Strong understanding of device fragmentation and how to test across a matrix of devices/OS versions.
• Experience using device farms or cloud-based testing solutions.
• Knowledge of mobile debugging tools (e.g., Charles Proxy, Android Studio, Xcode).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Bitrise).
• Familiarity with accessibility testing and performance monitoring tools.
• Understanding of analytics/event tracking verification.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) are a plus

1. 30-minute screening with a member of our Recruitment team
2. 1-hour google meet/Zoom Technical interview with one of our Principal QA Engineers
3. 1-hour google meet technical interview with Engineering team.
4. 30-minute google meet/Zoom Technical interview with the hiring manager
5. 30-minute to 1- hour google meet/Zoom final interview with our client
