Job description

Summary/Objective:

The Construction Manager is a completely remote position with a candidate located in Central California. The CM oversees and coordinates all aspects of construction in their assigned markets, primarily in Central and Southern California. Key responsibilities include site construction and opening of kiosks while ensuring all compliance details (construction, post/final inspections) are handled in a timely manner and within budget. This skilled, organized, and dedicated individual demonstrates excellent leadership skills and attention to detail.

The position is Salaried- Exempt. Hiring rate is $80,000 annually, plus bonus discretionary.

Essential Functions:
  • Work closely with Operational District Managers to ensure that all development and construction goals are met.
  • Ensure the timely construction and opening of refill kiosks.
  • Select and negotiate with contractors and assist with the contracting process.
  • Conduct periodic site visits ensuring that projects are completed as designed, in compliance with accepted plans and specifications, and on time and within the approved budget.
  • Ensure prompt set up of utilities accounts, designs, and installs as they regard to station installation.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively when working with other departments within and outside the company.
  • Demonstrate prompt, diligent, and efficient responses and resolutions to issues as they occur.
  • Demonstrate and provide leadership in support of the company’s Pledge of Conduct.
  • Regular and predictable attendance for required schedule.
  • Follow safety guidelines and act in a safe manner.
  • All other duties assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Model leadership with a positive attitude.
  • Possess a working knowledge of construction, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong verbal and written (email) communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Acceptable work attendance including on-call support for after-hour emergencies.
  • Primary location will be Central California but will need the ability to travel throughout the region as required.
  • Clean motor vehicle record and current valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to work some weekends or evening work.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years min experience in the construction industry required
