Job description

The Sr. Data Scientist for Healthcare will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced data science solutions that drive the Inmar Intelligence Supply Chain and Compliance capabilities. Reporting directly to the VP, Healthcare Supply Chain Products and Compliance Solutions, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, product management, and platform development, to deliver innovative analytics that unlock the value of Inmar’s healthcare data assets.

This position requires a deep understanding of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, combined with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The Sr. Data Scientist will be responsible for designing and deploying models that enhance customer outcomes, streamline healthcare workflows, and support the strategic objectives of the Supply Chain & Compliance Product Portfolio.

Data Science and Analytics (60%)

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions to enhance the Healthcare OS platform’s capabilities.

  • Lead the exploration and analysis of large healthcare datasets, uncovering patterns, trends, and insights that inform product development and strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to build robust data pipelines, ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of data used in analytics and model development.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership (20%)

  • Work closely with the Director of Data Science to align Supply Chain and Compliance data science initiatives with the broader goals of the Healthcare OS platform.

  • Partner with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to integrate data science solutions into the product’s front-end and back-end components.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and workshops, contributing to the alignment of data science efforts with platform development and business objectives.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement (20%)

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, applying new techniques and technologies to improve existing models and develop new solutions.

  • Experiment with and evaluate emerging tools and methodologies, driving innovation within the data science team and across the platform.

  • Mentor product team and junior data scientists and provide guidance on best practices in data science, model development, and data management.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI.

  • Proficiency in data science programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, with experience using data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

  • Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and develop scalable data science solutions that drive business impact.

Physical Demands:
