The position is hybrid working a minimum of 3 days in the office, typically Tuesday through Thursday, with the ability to work from home the remaining workdays. Candidates must be able to travel to plant sites when needed (approx. 6-8 days/month with ability to support longer durations).

Education/Experience/Licensure:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field (industrial, engineering, etc.) from an accredited university (required)
- PMP certification or MBA (highly preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in managing diverse teams and 4 years’ experience associated with engineering and design projects in nuclear (DOE or commercial) plants
- Experience working with multiple operating nuclear clients and vendors (highly preferred)
- On-site and past unescorted access (highly preferred) or ability to obtain unescorted access at an operating or construction nuclear plant (required)
- Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite). Additional software skills including Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects, or similar scheduling software (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Client interface and business development on assigned projects building relationships that foster partnership and lead to growing opportunities
- Acting as the single point of contact for assigned clients
- Project Initiation: Develop comprehensive client proposals, define work scope, establish schedules, allocate budgets, identify risks, and manage resources efficiently
- Assisting the project team in clearly defining and clarifying the project scope to meet customer expectations
- Project Monitoring: Be adept at leading project teams, ensuring the attainment of project goals and objectives while adhering to established business processes and procedures
- Effectively planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating engineering work phases, closely monitoring project expenditures, earned value, and cost and schedule performance to ensure satisfactory budget performance on all projects
- Adept in scope and change management, ensuring commitments are achieved while not allowing scope creep. Actively communicate and negotiate scope changes and deviations to ensure client alignment while meeting profit margin goals.
- Assisting in project closeout activities
- Typical project management duties including monitoring and reporting project metrics (SPI, CPI, EV, etc.), profitability reporting, staffing oversight and mentorship, schedule and progress control, quality, safety, and status reporting
- Coordinate and plan activities associated with engineering, procurement, construction phase services on commercial nuclear projects to ensure execution in accordance with customer and Mesa processes and procedures.
Successful candidates will:
- Have a strong background in team leadership, mentoring, and development
- Have a strong background in overseeing engineering modifications development through installation, with experience interfacing with implementation vendors and customers
- Have effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)
- Possess excellent problem solving and communication skills and have an ability to interface with customers and internal team members under a matrixed organization
- Adept in negotiation skills and communication, maintain positive client relationships to build long-term partnerships based on trust and performance.
- Should have design engineering and/or project management experience associated with commercial nuclear sites
- Be able to demonstrate adaptability; must be proficient in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within a nuclear power plant environment
