Department of Revenue is recruiting for a limited duration Revenue Supervisor 1 position expected to end on June 30, 2026. We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented individual to join our Collections Division in the Other Agency Accounts Section. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in state hybrid work.  Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely. 

In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitments, you must reside within the state of Oregon. Current Revenue employees who live outside of Oregon may apply and will be considered.

What You Will Be Doing

Below is a sampling of job duties. It is not meant to encompass all duties.

  • Supervise unit staff. Set employee performance goals and objectives.

  • Evaluate current business and system processes. Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.

  • Schedule work assignments, assign priorities and ensure they are met.

  • Ensure that a review of each employee’s caseload is performed on a regular basis.

  • Address performance deficiencies in a timely manner. Use standard of progressive discipline.

  • Serve as a member of Collections Division leadership to jointly make decisions concerning changes to unit operations, development and achievement of division and section goals and performance measures, and coordination and prioritization of the processing of accounts.

Three years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:

  • Experience managing people and business in a call center environment, especially in a remote setting

  • Comfortable with conflict management and resolution

  • Ability to make decisions in a team-based management group

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Preference may be given to bilingual English/Spanish speakers

  • The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%.
