Job Summary
ZOLL is seeking a diligent, knowledgeable and detail-oriented accounting professional to prepare and process financial information, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, ACH, and supplemental reporting, as well as perform analytics on the financial data. In addition to the traditional accounting duties, this position requires a keen analytical mindset to help drive efficiency improvements. Essential Functions
Prepare standard monthly journal entries, consistent with GAAP requirements
Maintain financial records for 4 business entities
Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts, to include analysis of accounts for accuracy and reasonableness, and timely follow up and coordination for resolution of any issues
Prepare monthly Sales reports
Prepare supplemental reporting and analytics, as needed
Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Assemble profitability by Customer, by a variety of product families
Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for executive management
Assist with policy and procedure documentation and maintenance
Ensure sales tax returns and amendments are prepared, processed, and paid in a timely and accurate manner in all applicable state and local jurisdictions (monthly, quarterly, annually)
Identify and implement new automation/efficiency opportunities to streamline accounting functions
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of experience in an accounting position
2+ years of experience with multi-state sales tax processing preferred
Experience with Oracle, Zuora and Avalara is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of general accounting principles, procedures, and software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and self-motivated
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
