Please Note:
This role will be supporting the end-mile network in our Southeast Division.
The ideal candidate will be located in Florida or Georgia.
Under general direction of the Transportation Director, the Transportation Analyst is responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of existing transportation processes and customer delivery for all aspects of transportation to ensure carrier performance and Cencora objectives are aligned.
Analysis will include, but not be limited to: parcel, LTL (less than truckload), FTL (full truckload), carrier deliveries at local, regional and national impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports transportation directors and managers through direction of corporate transportation initiatives.
- Works closely with carrier partners, distribution centers, and Cencora departments to manage any issues related to claims, payment, delivery issues, and related needs.
- Lead efforts relating to holiday closures including customer notifications, routing, and timelines.
- Monitors and reports shipment statuses of all daily outbound shipments.
- Develops SOP’s that ensure all carriers follow the proper policies and procedures when delivering end mile customer orders.
- Develops and maintains dashboards that will analyze daily/weekly/monthly transportation KPIs (key performance indicators).
- Helps supports the district transportation manager in auditing carrier invoices against contract terms and approves transportation invoices for payment.
- Works with carriers and Transportation Managers as needed to improve various aspects of performance, to be managed and reported by carrier scorecard.
- Analyzes and performs freight & lane characteristics to ensure the optimal carriers are used for end mile delivery.
- Works to continuously improve business processes and designs by developing and providing data that results in the implementation of initiatives that reduce cost, improve effectiveness and enhance customer experience.
- Supports new carriers onboarding and technology partners as needed.
- Supports in managing all carrier contracts, depot address, and depot inspection database for all carriers.
- Supports in preparing and gather data and requirements for transportation request for proposal’s (RFP’s) and carrier conversions.
- Conducts carrier hub audits, both in person and remote as needed.
- Upon direction from Transportation Managers, prepares and conducts uploads for areas of SAP routing, SAP ship condition, customer rating groups, and customer delivery time zones.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Normally requires minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
Experience:
- Exposure with courier industry and/or pool distribution environments.
- Experience with small package, LTL, and TL is preferred.
- Experience in the preparation of, or responding to, RFP’s and RFQ’s in a transportation environment.

- Proficient in data acquisition from various transportation management systems which include but not limited to: WMS, SAP, TMS PKMS, IBS, Power BI, nuVizz and other systems or data sources as needed.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access, including database creation, importing tables, queries, macros, forms and reporting.
