About the Role

This position is responsible of purchase goods, research, evaluate areas of opportunity, and reduce costs.

What You Will Do

  • Analyzes MRP and take proper steps to support the production plan.
  • Make sure all purchasing process are follow under standards defined by ISO
  • Participate on NPI’s projects to make sure all parts are pulled on time from vendors.
  • Places and follow through on purchase orders with all vendors.
  • Consolidates shipments to minimize freight costs.
  • Works in jointly with the Finance Area to resolve invoice issues.
  • Works on continuous improvement projects to improve planning/production support
  • Supports new products planning.
  • Reviews inventory levels to support inventory reduction goals.
  • Has the authority to stop a process or activity or give coaching if it detects unsafe or acts conditions, that could put at risk the integrity and health of a worker and environment.
  • Work with master planner to align the demand according with lead time of raw components.
  • Participate and provide support related to environmental, health and safety objectives and programs.
  • Participate and support with quality team to attend quality vendor issues to keep flowing of the parts and get the solution of the issue detected.
  • Participate with warehouse and inventory control on all issues related with inventory discrepancies.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of prior experience in industrial product manufacturing environment.
  • English 90%.
  • SAP Knowledge.
