Job description

Location Details: United States, Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

Join our team

GoDaddy is hiring a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to join our Assurance, Risk & Compliance (ARC) Team as the Director of Automation and Analytics! Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit (IA), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and SOX Compliance, this role will be instrumental in transforming how our team—and our business—uses technology, automation, and data to manage risk and scale compliance.

We are looking for someone who has a track record of building and operating effectively, showing strong technical skills, deep SOX knowledge, critical thinking, and assertive leadership. This individual will lead high-impact initiatives across automation, analytics, and AI while building strong partnerships across the organization and enabling our stakeholders to work smarter and faster!

What you'll get to do...

  • Lead the implementation of the ARC Team’s automation, analytics and AI strategy, finding opportunities to modernize compliance and risk processes across SOX, IA, and ERM
  • Advance and expand the use of Jira as a SOX program management tool, while developing related modules to support ERM and IA workstreams and processes
  • Lead the automation of SOX control testing, targeting 5–10 pilot controls in year one, and setting the foundation for scalable, repeatable testing solutions
  • Develop intuitive dashboards and analytics tools to deliver real-time insights, increase transparency, and drive customer engagement
  • Mentor and empower a high-performing team, assisting them in transitioning from traditional analytics to scalable compliance enablement
  • Partner with business and IT control owners to identify and implement automation and efficiency opportunities, enabling stronger controls and operational time savings

Your experience should include...

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, computer information systems, or related field; CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in internal audit and SOX compliance roles with a primary focus on analytics/automation
  • Shown proficiency in defining strategy, establishing direction, managing team capacity, and implementing promptly in a fast-paced work setting
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional automation and analytics initiatives, ideally within audit, risk, or compliance domains
  • Strong working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Power BI, and AI platforms, with the agility to adopt new technologies quickly
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business, IT, and risk teams—including senior executives

We've got your back...  We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits including parental leave. GoDaddy’s benefits vary based on individual role and location and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.
