Position Summary:

The Vice President, Sales - HydroFlo is responsible for developing and implementing a national strategy designed to increase the sales, profitability, market share, new products, and new customer penetration while meeting profitability goals of the company in the US market. They are responsible for the support the selection and development of the channel partner network based on department criteria and channel needs.  Through preparation and establishment of budgets, business plans, forecasts, US performance criteria, and relationship maintenance with key channel customers, the VP, Sales - HydroFlo creates a culture of success and goal achievement while representing Taco as a brand ambassador.

  • Maintain/Grow Commercial product line to meet/exceed budget for the entire US market
  • Expansion of sales in new markets and sectors

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and executes area business plan including growth, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives. Manages US profit and loss (P&L) to maximize area profitability.
  • Manages a team of Industrial Sales Managers to achieve area sales and growth goals.
  • Develops and executes a detailed and accurate US forecast plan and delivers business performance reports on a timely basis.
  • Manages and compiles business and market intelligence to support market sales and share gain, competitive activity responses, corporate marketing activities, channel management programs and strategies, and business unit initiatives.
  • Develops and implements plans and strategies for the US marketplace for achieving Taco Comfort Solutions sales and profitability goals. Delivers assigned sales and manages profit margins (contribution margin) in the US market.
  • Supports the selection, negotiations, decisions, recommendations and hiring of channel partners. Tracks and measures multiple overall area channel partner effectiveness to meet Market Potential Portfolio and Sales (MPPS) targets.
  • Manages customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction by establishing and maintaining relationships with key channel partners and customers.
  • Communicates, plans, deploys, and delegates resources, budgets, financial reports and activities with the Sales team nationally.
  • Develops and monitors revenue and product budget for their area of responsibility.
  • In conjunction with Industrial Sales Managers, assesses all sales representatives in area for performance and long-term viability.

People Management

  • Evaluates team members to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement; collaborate on development actions and ensure resources necessary to complete actions.
  • Cascades relevant and appropriate information about the company and department effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Coaches and mentors for skill and knowledge development of entire US field team and others when designated.
  • Executes necessary responsibilities of a team during absences or alternate engagement of peers and supervisors.
  • Ensures team adheres to company policies, practices, and department standards.
  • Assigns actions and ensures completion of all Commercial related projects.
  • Reviews work quality and provides feedback and guidance to the US team in all aspects of their positions and development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering; significant applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • 15+ years of sales management or related experience, preferably including national account sales experience, strategic planning, and execution of executive sales strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Dynamics, Business Intelligence and all financial reports
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage a sales team, including rep agency management and internal Industrial Sales Managers
  • Accountability for profit and loss (P&L) with demonstrated success maximizing profit and achieving growth plans
  • High level of financial and business acumen, with the ability to translate corporate growth goals into area sales strategies and profitable results
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, negotiate, collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical ability with experience forecasting and presenting to peers and senior leadership on a regular basis.
  • Confident presentation skills with an executive presence
  • Travel 50%+ of time with Industrial Sales Manager, sales representatives, channel partners, customers, etc.

Preferred:

  • Multiple channel/industry and commercial sales experience
  • Vertical Turbine Pump industry experience
  • HVAC industry experience

 

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a home and/or office environment using computers and technology.  Verbal and auditory capability are required.  Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent.  Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position is remote and extensive travel is required. Must be able to travel short and long distances as needed in various modes of transportation which may require sitting for long periods of time and/or being in confined spaces.

  • Industrial Sales Managers
  • Sales Engineering Team
Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
Salary range
$117,095$163,932 USD
