About the Role

Topsort is looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial, and experienced Head of Finance to lead our financial strategy as we scale globally and gear up for future Series of fundraising rounds. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own the capital strategy, steer our financial planning, and help drive the operational efficiency needed to grow a SaaS company at speed.

You will:

• Lead fundraising efforts end-to-end, including investor relations, capital strategy, data room management, and preparation of pitch materials in coordination with our CEO and legal advisors.
• Develop financial narratives and models that clearly communicate Topsort’s growth story and SaaS metrics to current and prospective investors.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and sales to align financial plans with go-to-market strategy and revenue goals.
• Scale our financial operations and systems to support rapid international growth, improving processes around reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage FP&A, including scenario modeling, gross burn forecasting, and resource allocation aligned with company OKRs.
• Oversee cash flow, collections, and billing operations, ensuring a strong grip on runway and capital deployment.
• Implement and optimize tools for headcount planning, payroll, and equity management across US and international entities.
• Serve as the point person for board-level financial reporting, preparing materials that align with both investor expectations and business priorities.

Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on financial and operational decision-making.

What we’re looking for (but open to outliers):

• 5–10+ years of experience in finance or strategy roles, ideally with prior leadership experience at a fast-scaling SaaS company (Series A to C).
• Demonstrated success in leading fundraising rounds and investor relations, with a deep understanding of VC expectations and SaaS KPIs.
• Strong command of financial modeling, SaaS unit economics, and international finance operations.
• Experience building scalable finance processes and systems in a high-growth environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: high ownership, adaptability, and a bias toward action.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex data into investor-ready insights.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Boston, with the ability to work onsite 4 days a week and travel domestically/internationally for investor meetings and events.
