Overview
LegalZoom’s Brand & Creative team is looking for a Content Designer to help shape how customers experience our web and product touchpoints—from the first visit to onboarding and beyond. This role is ideal for someone who sits at the intersection of UX writing and marketing copy—fluent in both clarity and persuasion, with a sharp instinct for commerce-driven journeys. You’ll write with empathy, clarity, and purpose—making legal services feel simple, supportive, and trustworthy.

This role is perfect for a content designer with around 5 years of experience who’s excited to grow their impact and collaborate across UX, marketing, and product. You'll bring thoughtful messaging to life across webpages, flows, email touchpoints that help people make big decisions with confidence.

You will
 
    • Partner closely with product marketers, product designers, visual designers, product managers, lifecycle marketers, legal, and research to solve real problems for people as they navigate our products and services for solutions that meet their needs. 
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of our products, the customers shopping for them, the competitive landscape, as well as market trends to shape copy. 
    • Write clear, concise, engaging content and turn complex legal jargon into language that any customer can understand.
    • Write and optimize webpages, onboarding, purchase, and product flows, emails, sales collateral, and sales scripts, blending clarity with persuasive storytelling.
    • Craft emotionally resonant copy that taps into real human needs and clearly connects those moments to how our products can help.
    • Help evolve and maintain our content and voice guidelines across web and product.
    • Partner with the broader brand and content teams to ensure consistency in messaging across the customer journey
    • Balance multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities with a calm, collaborative approach.
 
You have
    • Around 5 years of experience in UX writing, content design, or marketing copywriting—especially for web or digital services.
    • A portfolio that shows you can write clearly, think strategically, and advocate for the user.
    • Experience writing for onboarding, purchase, or service flows is a strong plus.
    • Comfort working in tools like Google Docs and Figma
    • A growth mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to test ideas and learn from feedback.
    • A collaborative spirit—you know great experiences come from teamwork.
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is $84,400 - 112,500. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
