Job description

We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our team at Aussie Broadband in a full-time permanent position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about developing solutions that create real value for both our people and our customers.

You’ll be contributing to the design and development of tools and applications that support key business operations - all within a flexible, remote-friendly setting that encourages innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Understanding of the telco industry

  • Strong alignment with Aussie Broadband’s values

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

  • 3+ years’ PHP experience using modern MVC frameworks

  • Solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and database design/optimisation

  • Experienced with modern APIs and version control (Git)

  • Excellent communication, writing, and time management skills

  • Innovative thinker with a drive to challenge the status quo

  • Confident working independently in a remote environment

Other things we’d like to see:

  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Skilled in designing and delivering complex software solutions

  • Experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android) valued

  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Laravel, and PHPUnit highly regarded
