Role Purpose:
We are looking for an organised and reliable Exams Operations Officer to support the delivery of exams in a small or remote office location. The role involves handling confidential materials in line with compliance standards, managing relationships and performance of Venue Supervisors, and resolving any issues or risks during the exam cycle. You will be the key contact on test days, including weekends as part of your contracted hours. This role is ideal for someone who can ensure smooth operations and uphold exam integrity under pressure.
Main Accountabilities:
In this role, you will manage all aspects of test day operations, including coordinating logistics, staff, venues, and secure exam materials. You will ensure performance is monitored, risks are addressed, and compliance procedures are strictly followed.
You will work closely with the Cluster Operations team, receiving instructions ahead of test days and efficiently deploying resources, often at short notice. You will be responsible for monitoring dashboards, supporting venue staff engagement, and handling confidential materials throughout their lifecycle. This includes sorting, storing, reconciling, and dispatching exam papers, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to strict compliance protocols.
The role involves responding to customer enquiries and supporting issue resolution to maintain a high-quality service. You will also play a key part in stakeholder management, working with venue staff and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and timely responses to challenges. You'll support audits, performance reviews, and the analysis of test day operations to drive improvements.
Additionally, you will handle financial resources and stock at a small scale, ensure materials and equipment are ready for use, and supervise task completion by contractors or colleagues. This role requires excellent planning, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a weekly or monthly timeframe.
