Georgia Military College is now accepting applications for a full-time Registrar Assistant.
Position Purpose:
Responsible for providing registrar services to all students, faculty, and staff at GMC instructional sites. Providing direct administrative support to the GMC Office of the Registrar, reviews each student's transcript and enter it into the database to ensure prior coursework is transcripted for all transfer students efficiently and accurately. When a course equivalency is not in the system, the Registrar Assistant works with a qualified evaluator in the field to evaluate the course, and then that information is entered into the system. Responsible for the processing of all degree applications. Verify that transcripts reflect degree requirements. Notify students of results and assist students with solving any outstanding issues. Track and maintain reports for BAS, Reverse Transfer, Dual Enrollment, and Academy Scholars. Post all degrees and honors to the transcript. Type, print, and mail diplomas for all campuses.
Primary Responsibilities:
Degree Processing: Review accuracy, Work with advisors, Review for GPA, Post degrees and honors (degree audit cleanup)
Submit courses for evaluation to division chairs and adjunct faculty. Maintain and update course transfer databases (TES and TCEQ).
Preparation and mailing of diplomas and transcripts
Research course descriptions for prior coursework. Send course information for approval. Track status of evaluation.
Maintain data for reporting
Coordinate with athletics regarding the posting of degrees
Check Perceptive Content for RTI applicants, Communicate with RTI applicants
Create accounts in TES for new evaluators
*Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

Education
Required: Associate degree or commensurate (2+ years) experience working in an office setting
Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Experience
Required: 3-5 years of experience in a customer service setting
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in the Registrar’s Office or similar higher education setting
