Position: Floor Technician

Location: Trinity Landing

Compensation: Competitive wage, plus an additional $3 per hour if you opt out of benefits

Position Purpose/Summary

As a Floor Technician at Trinity Landing, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our community’s physical plant and environment. Your primary focus will be the maintenance of all flooring surfaces, ensuring a clean, attractive, and safe space for residents, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess floor conditions to determine appropriate treatment
• Operate and maintain floor maintenance equipment (buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, etc.)
• Perform cleaning, stripping, sealing, and waxing for various floor types
• Carpet cleaning, including shampooing, bonnet cleaning, and hot water extraction
• Remove stains and debris using suitable cleaning products and techniques
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies as needed
• Assist in moving furniture and heavy items for comprehensive cleaning
• Dry mop and damp mop all assigned areas
• Clean all rooms, shower areas, and dining rooms using proper techniques and precautions
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control procedures
• Report repairs, unsafe areas, hazards, accidents, or incidents promptly to supervisor
• Evaluate new floor maintenance products and systems
• Transfer chemicals safely and maintain confidentiality
• Participate in required educational programs and training sessions
• Reflect LSC’s mission, vision, values, and customer service standards in all interactions

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience: Previous floor/environmental services experience and familiarity with floor machines/equipment preferred
• Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of environmental concepts and standards; ability to follow safety protocols and infection control procedures

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Frequent heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds routinely)
• Ambulatory; able to climb ladders, stoop, and bend at the waist repeatedly
• Good sense of smell; ability to distinguish odors
