About the Role

As SVP, Inside Telesales & Call Center, you will lead a high-volume, performance-driven sales organization. This includes oversight of Directors of Sales, Call Center operations, and supporting functions. You’ll define and execute a strategic vision to drive revenue growth through sophisticated, phone-based sales channels in a data-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive telesales strategy across inbound, outbound, upsell, and cross-sell channels.
  • Set and manage KPIs (e.g., call volume, conversion rates, pipeline metrics) and forecast quarterly/annual performance.
  • Collaborate with C-suite leaders (Marketing, Product, Finance) to align go-to-market strategies and budgets.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, mentor, and retain high-performing Directors and Managers across Inside Sales and Call Center teams.
  • Implement structured training, call review processes, and incentive programs to drive excellence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Operations & Process Optimization

  • Standardize scripts, objection-handling frameworks, and dialer workflows aligned with brand and compliance standards.
  • Lead CRM and sales tech stack adoption (e.g., Salesforce), leveraging analytics to improve conversion and lead velocity.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between telesales and field sales teams with clear hand-off protocols.

Metrics & Performance Management

  • Build and maintain dashboards to monitor performance at all organizational levels.
  • Analyze performance drivers and proactively adjust strategies and operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of call quality, customer satisfaction, and SLA adherence.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on demand generation and lead nurturing strategies.
  • Work with Product to align messaging and value propositions.
  • Coordinate with HR, L&D, and Facilities to scale operations and support growth.
  • Address customer escalations and lead initiatives to enhance customer experience (CX).

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in sales, including 5+ years leading large telesales/call center teams.
  • Track Record: Proven success in scaling high-performing inside sales organizations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot), call analytics, dialer tech, and AI-driven tools.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong data orientation with the ability to build dashboards and make insight-driven decisions.
  • Leadership: Strategic thinker with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Industry Background: B2B, SaaS, fintech, or call center-heavy industries; healthcare/B2C experience is a plus.

Work Conditions

  • In-office presence required, with occasional executive travel (e.g., town halls, quarterly reviews, sales kickoffs).
  • Availability to manage escalations or critical issues outside regular business hours.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $150K–$200K+ (dependent on location and company size).
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $300K–$400+ (base + performance incentives).
  • Equity: Competitive equity package available.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, generous PTO, and professional development support.
