Who you are: 

 The Executive Director (ED), College Study Abroad Marketing, is responsible for leading all College Study Abroad marketing efforts and teams. With the Vice President for College Enrollment, the ED will set the overall strategy for College Study Abroad marketing and ensure its execution in support of overall College Study Abroad enrollment and partnership goals. The ED will manage a team of content specialists while simultaneously building a team to increase B2C and B2B engagement.
 

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop, set, and execute the CIEE College Study Abroad annual marketing strategy, aligning content with B2B and B2C strategies to drive growth across audiences and channels. 
  •  Align all internal marketing calendars and coordinate across teams (Marketing, Institutional Relations, Enrollment, Strategy, other teams) to ensure projects are managed to deadline.
  • Manage the College Study Abroad Marketing budget, including expense tracking and reforecasting monthly. 
  • Implement strategies to measure the impact of marketing efforts across all channels, measuring ROI and adjusting investments accordingly. 
  • With the Web and Digital team, launch annual digital advertising, third-party promotion, and list buy campaigns, measuring effectiveness and adjusting as needed. 
  • Implement new technologies in support of marketing goals, including mobile app, coordinating closely with IT and Web, and Digital marketing teams. 
  • Develop and execute, with Web and Digital, a clear SEO strategy, ensuring CIEE is #1 across study abroad search and in key search term categories. 
  • Lead and motivate a customer-centric marketing team to drive enrollment growth across all College Study Abroad programs and products. 
  • Ensure consistent brand standards are applied to all College Study Abroad print and digital marketing, both direct-to-student and B2B, and at the CIEE Center level in 40+ cities globally. 
  • Develop and standardize Executive reporting across all marketing activities. 

Accountability:

 1. The person is accountable for ensuring the successful execution of the CIEE College Study Abroad marketing strategy. 

2. The ED is accountable for driving enrollment growth across all College Study Abroad program and product lines. 

3. Responding promptly to all questions, issues, problems, and/or needs of any constituents relative to College Study Abroad Marketing. 

4. Representing CIEE with integrity, accuracy, and spirit of its mission.

 

What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 7 years’ progressive experience in leading B2B and B2C marketing teams. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Experience building and implementing multi-channel marketing strategies to drive growth from awareness to lead conversion. 
  • Experience building teams, with proven success meeting or exceeding departmental goals. 
  • Experience using data and customer insights to drive decisions and demonstrate impact, measuring ROI and adjusting strategies as needed. 
  • Experience managing multiple communication channels, generating press, and gaining brand visibility in a competitive environment. 
  • Proven ability to implement new technologies, including mobile apps and e-commerce platforms, to expand lead generation and improve lead conversion. 
  • Experience working with integrated CRM and marketing stacks to track lead performance and attribution, and conversion. 
  • Customer-centric, with the ability to understand customer needs and preferences. 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). 
  • Attention to detail and confidence that translates to leadership among peers and staff.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under minimal supervision; management and supervisory experience required.
