On this occasion, we look for Head of API to join the team to be a supporter of change.
As an IT & Development Manager, you will lead Tech engineers to deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure digital products to our Business Units. Your role will involve balancing IT operations and development/change management, building new platforms and services, ensuring product development and operations practices with a big focus on standardization and reusability. You will focus on people development, coaching IT professionals, implementing best practices and improving IT operations practices within various teams and projects. Your deep understanding of business processes will enable you to align IT needs with business objectives, ensuring the delivery of valuable and secure digital products.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and develop IT professionals, fostering a culture of ownership and delivery. Assess individual qualifications and career ambitions, acting as a mentor to help team members achieve their goals.
Product Development and Improvement: Implement foundational IT practices to ensure high availability and reliability of products and services. Continuously transform teams to a future-ready software product delivery organization.
Quality and Delivery: Support teams in planning and delivering complex features, integrations, and reliability topics. Ensure high-quality software delivery with a strong connection to stakeholders and business value.
Resource Planning: Maintain oversight of team composition, conduct gap analysis, and develop workforce transformation plans. Ensure teams have the required qualifications and resources.
Talent Acquisition: Attract, hire, and retain IT talent, ensuring the team is composed of the required qualifications. Maintain a strong network to provide a funnel of talent.
Budget Management: Manage the budget for the team, including salary decisions, training and development, and tooling. Ensure team members have the necessary resources for their roles.
Operational Excellence: Lead blameless postmortems and implement improvements in the way of working. Ensure good IT operations and security practices are in place, aligned with business objectives and value chains.

You are an IT professional with extensive experience in development, IT management, and/or IT operations roles, ideally within the financial services sector. You have a deep passion for coaching and mentoring others, and you excel at building and improving API teams. Your strong technical background and understanding of business processes enable you to align IT strategies with business objectives effectively.
Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field
Management / Leadership skills - strong focus on poeple development, planification, agile, engagement, career plan, performance, evaluation - at least 5 years.
Strong knowledge of IT methodologies, tools and processes
Hands-on experience (10 years) with IT technologies, enterprise architecture, API Rest, CI/CD pipelines, ADO, API Management
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum process (also on Project management)
Advanced knowledge in DevOps way of working.
Communication Skills.
Ability to see the big picture maintaining attention to detail.
Problem solving and Analytical skills.
