Position Summary:

The Clinical Support Supervisor provides clinical oversight concerning direction, strategic planning, and coordination of service delivery for individuals under their management. In collaboration with the State Program Administrator and the Case Manager Supervisor, it works to ensure individuals offered services and resources help enable them to attain or maintain their physical, medical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

This position collaborates with other departments, medical professionals, consultants, and organizations, including state agencies and advocacy groups, to develop, support and coordinate individual care. Additionally, the Clinical Support Supervisor will participate in workgroups and/or advisory committees as a program representative and clinical professional.

Essential Functions:

All Clinical Support Supervisor (Licensed) activities involving the individual may be inclusive of family members, guardians, and/or other members of a support team, dependent upon legal relationships and individual situations and needs. The Clinical Support Supervisor (Licensed) responsibilities include the following:

  • Provides oversight and management to case management staff.
  • Consults with Columbus physician on high profile cases.
  • Through participation in Interdisciplinary Team meetings (IDT) and high-profile case review, monitor the implementation and outcomes of interventions planned for individual cases with clinical supervisors and case managers.
  • Ensure compliance with contract and policy standards for individuals being services under the as Intensive Case Management services.
  • Participate in and coordinate onboarding activities of newly hired staff and conduct field supervisory visits as needed.
  • Oversee clinical supervisory staff to ensure expectations and compliance with the role’s expectation and program requirements.
  • Identify and discuss with leadership training needs and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to determine risks and unmet needs with high-risk cases identified.
  • Participates in strategic program planning, implementation and coordination of process improvements and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the State Program Administrator and Quality Assurance Director in the evaluation of the program’s effectiveness, key performance measures and outcomes.
  • Provides operational reports to the State Program Administrator and may be responsible for certain clinical regulatory reports as needed.
  • Monitors business trends and reports to leadership.
  • Provides proposals for optimization of activities to develop and create efficiencies within the program.
  • Assists in the team’s efforts to strengthen and build local and national partnerships with outside organizations aimed at fostering the development of collaborative projects.
  • Advances community outreach focusing on Columbus programs and services, increasing the company's visibility with State agencies and programs.
  • Participates in activities related to accrediting process such as CARF, state regulatory audits and file reviews as needed.
  • Creates an environment that fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect, diversity, and service to customers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

This position is primarily remote with travel based on program needs, including new hire training, supervisory field visits, state trainings/meetings, provider, and/or community engagement events, as needed.

Required Experience:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) from an accredited institution with 3-5 years of nursing experience, specifically working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities/Brain Injury or be a Licensed Psychologist (LP) with 3-5 years’ experience with developmental and complex trauma and working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, brain injury or a closely related population.
  • Must have a current professional clinical license in good standing.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual/ developmental disabilities, brain injury or a closely related population, included but not limited to making recommendations as part of a client's service plan such as clinical treatment, counseling, or determining eligibility for health or human services/benefits.
  • Must reside in Vermont.
  • Must be QDDP Certified
