About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Accountant who can take on a strategic Operations Manager role, someone who is equally confident preparing financial reports and improving operational systems. If you're a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for operations, systems thinking, and cross-functional support, this is the perfect role for you.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily business operations while also managing end-to-end financial processes. Think of this as a hybrid position where your foundation in accounting supports your ability to drive operational efficiency across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management
  • Optimise day-to-day business workflows across departments
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and manage implementation
  • Coordinate IT tools, automation, and team systems
  • Support onboarding and training for internal team members
  • Track and analyse business KPIs to guide strategic decisions

Executive Support

  • Manage calendars, communications, and meeting logistics for the Executive team
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and alignment across stakeholders
  • Financial Oversight
  • Perform full-spectrum bookkeeping (including payroll and BAS support)
  • Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and monthly financial reports
  • Maintain accounting records and manage financial compliance

What Were Looking For

  • Accountant with a degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in Australian accounting
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • A true multi-tasker and all-rounder
  • Confident managing operational systems, processes, and reporting
  • Tech-savvy with excellent proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Office, and SaaS platforms
