Role
Oversees
the human resources department, handling tasks such as non-exempt staff recruitment,
employee relations, payroll management, and ensuring compliance with laws and
regulations. Develop HR strategies aligned with the organization's
goals and foster a positive workplace culture.
Position Summary
Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Work Arrangement: In-office, 4 days per week
Compensation: $110,000-$160,000
Education and Qualifications
Minimum Education: BA/BS in Human Resources or related field.
Authorized to work in the USA.
Core Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing: Oversee hiring for all non-exempt staff, manage job postings (Indeed, LinkedIn), and coordinate temporary staffing needs.
Onboarding & Orientation: Conduct new hire orientations and manage employee onboarding.
Employee Relations: Provide coaching/counseling to employees and management, ensuring compliance with HR policies.
Benefits & Compliance: Coordinate annual Open Enrollment and manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, PFL, CFRA, ADA accommodations).
HR Policies & Performance Management: Develop and implement HR policies, oversee performance evaluations, and conduct exit interviews to drive continuous improvement.
Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal and state labor laws, including equal opportunity policies.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
