Description:

Partners with various business partners to source data from various data sets
Identifies new reporting opportunities & creates reports based on business need
Designs reports and data bases
Training for end users on reporting
Documents process flow of reporting
Demonstrates a keen understanding of data; identifies and translates the connections and core issues to operational and financial controls.
Special projects and other duties as assigned
Supports ad-hoc reporting as needed
Work closely with the business to improve the data collection and quality

HM Notes:

Someone who has experience building reports within Power BI.
Complex data feeds, someone who is a quick learner, that are publishing in Power BI.
In the office Tuesday and Wednesday, but we are open to remote since this is a contract role. However, that would limit their ability to convert down the line.
This contractor is working closely with Jill and another manager and analysts on the team. They are often supporting folks with store operations as they learn what the needs of the business are.
Previous retail experience is a plus.
Technical skills - Power BI, Advanced excel skills, Communication skills
Self starter, who is eager to jump right in
Would prefer a local candidate, however they will allow a candidate who is non-local working 100% remote

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree Required (Preferred in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.)
3-5 years of professional experience
Intermediate to advanced Power BI and Microsoft Excel experience
Advanced Analytical skills
Off-price model understanding
Good understanding of data warehousing and data lake architecture
Experience working with large datasets to extract, manipulate and analyze performance using business intelligence tools
