The Position:

The Nutrition Support Dietitian is responsible for the implementation of the NutriSole® nutrition support program, for clinical management of parenteral nutrition (PN) and enteral (EN) patients, and for working in tandem with their Regional Nutrition Manager, Regional Business Leaders, Territory Managers and Clinical Transition Coordinators to support sales efforts to drive referrals for nutrition support in local markets. Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Clinical Operations Department to develop and maintain SOP’s pertaining to nutrition support management.
  • Support sales through direct key account outreach and joint marketing of nutrition support therapy in branches, CE presentations for identified target accounts, and assisting with nutrition support account business plan development and seek outgrowth opportunities.
  • Provide PN relevant disease state and program education and support for both the clinical and sales teams.
  • Assist Intake and reimbursement teams with qualification of medical necessity for all payors for parenteral and enteral nutrition to secure reimbursement for provided services, including the review of clinical documentation as needed for new Medicare patients to determine criteria coverage.
  • Work closely with Clinical Operations team to ensure competence in the PN-related disease processes and nutrition support therapy and to promote compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and assessment and written documentation of nutritional status and recommend therapeutic interventions to ensure safe initiation, advancement, and discontinuation of therapy, as necessary, while promoting the highest level of quality of life and providing written documentation of such through the electronic charting system. 
  • Assist Regional Nutrition Managers in the creation of new patient education materials, clinical tools, marketing collateral and sales presentations. 
  • Join and attend national and local industry meetings/conferences to represent the NutriSole Program in support of sales and to build and maintain relationships with consumers, customers, and industry partners.

  • Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Eastern Standard Time
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Dietetics with a current licensure as a Registered Dietitian.  
  • Certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician or comparable certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ combined experience in the home infusion industry and Nutrition Support. 
  • Successful track record in driving clinical sales to meet established revenue goals.
