We are looking for a Systems Analyst to support our client based in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Opportunity

Our client's remediation team is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join the OIT Department in a crucial role in documenting critical business processes, analyzing current business functions for efficiency opportunities, assisting in process redesign, development, and testing. In this role, you will play a key role in re-engineering financial systems and business processes impacted by an ongoing business transformation. Your responsibilities will also include the development, maintenance, and expertise of applications dealing with complex financial business processes on large cross-functional projects, ensuring robust and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is someone who's been in a lead developer or manager role for at least seven years. Past working experience with Computer Associates CA Gen and systems include DB2 or Oracle, as well as Classic ASP and web development is required.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a developer and subject matter expert for applications handling complex financial business processes on large cross-functional projects, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance from inception through integration, staging, and production environments.
  • Offer hands-on support to peers and mentor others.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve problems and issues using troubleshooting tools and techniques, as well as teamwork.
  • Work with the team toward continuous improvement; may include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies; collaborate with other developers and architects to drive guidelines, methodologies, and documentation.
  • Partner with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are communicated, supported, and delivered to the highest standards.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies, and methodologies.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $70 per hour, or 140,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful Systems Analyst has the following experience:

  • Bache lor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years as a lead developer or development manager.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of broad experience with development technologies including CA Gen, Classic ASP, DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases, or similar relational databases.
  • Experience with VB and Javascript, Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET.
  • Knowledge of DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases or similar relational databases, including SQL proficiency.
  • Proficient with Computer Associates’ CA Gen workstation toolset for web server, online, and batch procedures.
  • Knowledge of Computer Associates’ CA Gen Com Proxy service.
  • Knowledge of Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) web page development languages VB and J-script.
  • Knowledge of IBM Z-Server, CICS, JCL, and COBOL.
  • Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining software systems dealing with complex financial business processes.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to balance multiple demands and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions.
  • Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead development teams.
  • Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
