Essential duties and responsibilities

  • The Renewals Manager will work with customers, partners, and internal parties to develop a well-rounded, deep view of customer requirements and objectives and define a strategy to drive renewals to timely closure, as well as minimize renewals risk and financial attrition.
  • This role will manage a team of renewal associates globally, who are responsible for preparing renewal audits used by the Account Management team to determine renewal strategy.
  • Renewal Management: Oversee the entire renewal process, ensuring timely and successful renewals of customer subscriptions.
  • Support Contract Negotiation: Strategize and support negotiations for subscription renewals, ensuring favorable terms for both the customer and the company.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, track customer engagement, and proactively address potential renewal challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success, and product development, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Process Management: This role assumes a high-level of detail and acumen in tools such as Salesforce, Gainsight, and Excel to properly forecast and manage a high number of monthly renewals.
  • Contract Analysis: This role assumes the ability to understand contract language and apply that understanding to negotiations and renewal strategy.
  • Communicate with management appropriately to ensure forecasts are accurate and potential risks mitigated.
  • Ongoing learning of market and industry supported (treasury, payments, cash management, risk management, working capital).
  • Develop a standard playbook for renewals, as well as ensuring a clearly defined process for renewal management across Kyriba’s global customer base.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in renewals management, sales, or account management within SaaS software, ideally with a focus on enterprise software with multi-year, complex contracts.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Treasury management, financial technology, and SaaS business models.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, procurement and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data to inform decision-making.
  • Customer-Focused: Passion for customer success and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Exceptionally strong organization skills to ensure accurate forecasting and renewal preparation tracking.
  • Proficiency in MS/Google tools: Word, PPT, XLS.
  • The ability to be flexible with working hours as this role will support global teams and span a number of time zones.
  • Comfortable managing through conflict and escalation.
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven track record managing multiple priorities at a time.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing environment of a growing team and organization.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.
  • Ability to travel, up to 20% to be onsite with clients or at events.
Base compensation for this role is: $146,200.00 - $184,900.00 annual salary. In addition to the base pay this position includes a variable compensation. The role might also be potentially eligible to long term Incentive. The final package may vary and will be determined by various factors including candidate profile and ideal qualifications as well as specific cost of living circumstances in some specific locations.
