Job description

RIGHTFULLY RETURNING ASSETS 

Since the early 1940s, offices that retain unrecovered assets throughout the country have been holding and returning assets. However, these offices and agencies simply do not have the resources to properly locate rightful owners to return the nearly $40 billion in assets being held. As baby boomers and their financial accounts increase, the number of claims will continue to grow and further delay the return of additional funds to owners that could rightfully use the funds which in turn could be infused into the economy as these assets are returned.  

The Genealogist with the Heir Search Division of Lauth Investigations International offers you the experience of helping others.  We are a growing company with the possibility for you to become a full-time contracted Genealogist.  Great way to work from home! 

The Genealogist will be responsible for: 

  • Name the decedent, and in some cases, possible heirs to the estate 

  • Ensure that the heirs listed in the petition, if any, are the nearest living heirs and they are entitled to the estate 

  • Ensure there are no other entitled heirs that are missing from the petition. If so, those heirs will need to be located 

  • Locate valid addresses, phone numbers, and emails for each living heir 

  • Determine and locate any half-blood relatives 

  • Determine if any widowed heirs, living or deceased, remarried  

  • Determine if all entitled heirs, living or deceased, were born to the same parents 

  • If it is determined that any living heir has a legal Guardian, Power of Attorney, or Conservator, based on the content within the court documents, must locate that person’s address, phone number, and email. 

  • Create a family tree  

  • Determine what percentage of the estate that each heir is entitled to Determine the value of the real estate, if not listed on the petition.  

  • Agrees to turn the project around with required information the same day it is assigned, no later than 24 hours.  

  • Must be able to read and understand court documents

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Certified Genealogist
