Purpose of the Role:

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing supplier relationships, optimizing sourcing strategies, and improving cost efficiencies. This role will lead supplier onboarding and contract management, maintain accurate records in our systems, and act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier onboarding, setup, and documentation to ensure compliance and readiness for business operations.
  • Lead cost management activities, including obtaining quotes, calculating landed costs, and supporting negotiations.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between suppliers and internal teams to facilitate alignment and timely updates.
  • Coordinate and track product samples to support development and quality evaluations.
  • Assist with resourcing analysis and related processes to support sourcing strategy and supplier optimization.
  • Maintain accurate data in systems, including CBOMs, factory details, and supplier records in Oracle.

Measures of Success:

  • Achieves product cost targets through effective sourcing and negotiation.
  • Supports on-time product launches by ensuring supplier readiness and timely sample delivery.
  • Delivers cost savings on products and packaging through continuous improvement and supplier optimization.
  • Contributes to the execution of sourcing strategies, including resourcing and supplier diversification efforts.
  • Supports gross margin improvement by managing costs and aligning sourcing decisions with financial goals.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Materials, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required, MBA a plus.
  • 1–3 years of sourcing experience in components and finished goods, preferably in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Experience working with both domestic and international suppliers.
  • Professional certification preferred but not required (e.g., CPSM from the Institute for Supply Management, SPSM from Next Level Purchasing).

Compensation, Benefits, and Logistics:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $ 85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus based on individual and company performance. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

Pampered Chef currently follows a hybrid schedule at the headquartered office in Addison, IL. The expectation is for employees to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week.
