The Target Pay Range for this position is $57,400-$71,700 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

Job Purpose/Overview 

The role of the Equine Field Applications Specialist I is to provide post sale customer education to Sound Technologies Equine Ultrasound and Digital Radiography customers, including applications training and basic techniques specific to individual modalities to ensure successful use of products.  Role of Equine Field Applications Specialist is to increase customer satisfaction, retention and contribute to business unit growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Schedule product training process with customer upon the completion of sale

  • Drive communications with Equine Equipment Specialist pre and post training

  • Connect equipment to customers PACS, HIS and Telemedicine services as appropriate

  • Provide applications training for all modalities.

  • Optimize equine products to suit customer needs (protocols, presets, annotations, measurements)

  • Instruct on basic veterinary imaging techniques for digital radiography and ultrasound.

  • Offer phone and online applications support as part of training process (pre and post training) and as backup assistance to the Technical support department

  • Attend wet-labs and trade shows as clinical expert

  • Perform demonstrations with Equine Equipment Specialist

  • Manage required reports, expenses, travel arrangements, and clerical reporting of tasks

Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience 

  • RDMS/RVT/RCMS, LVT, and/or DVM licensure a plus

  • BS/BA degree in related field or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Ability to handle many tasks at once including heavy phone and email volume

  • Ability to provide clear instructions in an educational format; written and didactic.

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude

  • Intermediate computer skills required, including but not limited to:

    Knowledge of basic computer networks and components required

    Knowledge of all Microsoft office applications required

    Knowledge of Medical image/video formats and storage methods

  • Must have strong planning & organizational skills with good attention to detail

  • Knowledge of anatomy and ultrasound uses

  • Knowledge of digital X-ray uses

  • Knowledge of ultrasound physics and ability to explain

  • Ability to follow through and resolve issues

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Previous veterinary medicine background preferred

  • Prior customer service, ultrasound applications, teaching/education experiences a plus

Travel : Will there be notable travel in this position? Yes  Percent of time: 90%

The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboardingThe associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.  The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office environment.  The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouchThe associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. 

 

  The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, data base management, email, and the Internet.  The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone systemThe associate must occasionally use media equipment such as an overhead projector, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
