Position Summary:

As Desk Review Specialist, you will be reviewing incoming auto damage demands from other carriers or entities to determine if amounts claimed are reasonable and consistent with industry standards.   

Position Responsibilities:

  • Examine third-party vehicle damage through photos, estimates, and invoices to ensure all damages are loss related and the most cost-effective parts were utilized within Industry Standards.
  • Examine third-party Total Loss claims through photos, estimates, total loss valuations to ensure valuations are accurate for the vehicle in terms of condition, mileage, options, etc.
  • Examine demands for rental reimbursement or loss of use and advance charges to ensure they are in line with the facts of the claim and within Industry Standards. 
  • Ensure adherence to claims procedures and guidelines prescribed by the company to produce a high-quality work product.
  • Complete all demand reviews in a timely manner as assigned.
  • Obtain all necessary documentation to substantiate the demand and/or settlement being offered.
  • Provide recommendation and basis for reasonable settlement amount following demand review.
  • Complete ongoing company and external industry training required to keep abreast of auto repair techniques and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of automotive, appraisal/estimates or body shop appraiser experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required. Experience/background working in a prior service industry is a plus.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain all licenses as needed.
  • Must have excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite a plus
  • Must have good planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some positions may require specific bilingual skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively deal with conflict.

This position will start fully onsite for the training period. Once the training period is completed this will transition to onsite with occasional work from home opportunities out of our local office.

The salary range for this position $46,400- $77,300.
