Responsibilities
Investigates problems, such as working conditions, disciplinary actions, grievances and employee and applicant appeals.
Provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolution in support of Amedisys’ business needs to be consistent with policies, procedures, state and federal laws.
Advises on a range of employment issues as well as other policies and facilitates conflict resolution.
Communicates and recommends program goals in all areas of employee relations.
Provide specialized, professional consultation and training on employee relations, performance improvement and employee disciplinary issues to managers and employees.
Supplies objective feedback and strategic solutions based on analyzed trends and metrics regarding exit interviews, employee retention and turnover.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with three years of HR experience; an associate’s degree and four years of experience in HR may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Must have extensive knowledge of all employment-related state and federal regulations.
Preferred
PHR or SHRM-CP certified.
Experience in healthcare.
