The Activity Coordinator is responsible for developing and promoting a variety of activities that include internal and external opportunities for socialization across the religious and ethnic backgrounds of the resident. All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of skilled nursing.
\nEssential Functions:
Facilitates and encourages family involvement with residents
Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the residents and an understanding of the aging process
Monitors and maintains records reflecting residents physical and mental condition, including Minimum Data Set (MDS) completion.
Reports significant changes in a resident’s condition to his or her physician
Develops and coordinates activities that can be enjoyed by all residents
