This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, using technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. Shift Timing : 12.30 PM - 9.30 PM IST

About the role!

As the Business Insights and Data SME Lead, you will support end-to-end analytics and intelligence activities for Performance Units, applying expertise in the related data domain. This role collaborates with business leads and partners (Technology, GBS, PUs, Functions, Markets) to motivate change, adoption, and sustainability of Analytics & Intelligence Frameworks aligned with business strategy and regulatory compliance. You will supply to scalable Business Intelligence transformation and flexibly act as SME as needed.

Key Accountabilities :

 • Support the management and maintenance of BI, analytics, and science tools 
 • Assist in translating business scenarios into mathematical models 
 • Give to the Data Modelling Framework and Harmonized Data Lake 
 • Address scalable data challenges across digital, MI, and analytics 
 • Give to the Digital, Data & Analytics Change Backlog 
 • Act as SME for analytics initiatives 
 • Assist in embedding ML/AI toolkits 
 • Support business upskilling as tools evolve 
 • Enable centralized data lake outputs for faster insights 
 • Recommend improvements to the Global Data & Analytics Lead 
 • Collaborate with peers and support multi-functional teams 
 • Work across time zones and support multi-disciplinary initiatives 
 • Apply a solutioning approach to scale global to local 
 

Experience Required :

 • Experience in delivering analytics/BI for business transformation 
 • Understanding of data domains across sales, marketing, CRM, ordering, cash collection, dedication, and product portfolio 
 • Hands-on with SQL, data sourcing, and cloud architecture 
 • Skilled in statistical modeling and ML 
 • Experience working with global, multi-functional teams 

Skills & Proficiencies

 • Strong documentation skills (scope, critical metrics, test criteria, UAT) 
 • Expertise in high-dimensional data modeling 
 • PowerBI dashboarding and PoC design 
 • Proficiency in Power BI, Power App, Power Automate, SharePoint, SQL, Python 
 • Strong influencing and organisational change skills

You will work with:

You will be part of a 20-member Global Data & Analytics Team, working alongside credible authorities in Process, Data, Advanced Analytics skills, and Data Science. The team supports Castrol’s digital estate and drives the Data & Analytics strategy through the Harmonized Data Lake. You’ll engage with customers across Castrol Leadership, GBS, and Technology, giving to value - driven insights and transformation.
