Job description

Job Summary:
The Associate Enrollment Communication Leader position is responsible for driving employee awareness, education, and adoption of voluntary benefits through strategic communication initiatives. This role serves as a primary point of contact for Business Solutions clients and works in close partnership with internal Associates to ensure enrollment messaging is effectively tailored, timed, and executed to meet the needs of diverse employee populations. The position is accountable for managing the full lifecycle of enrollment communication from initial planning conversations through content development, campaign execution, and post-enrollment analysis.

Responsibilities:

This role enhances client engagement by leading Open Enrollment communication strategies and identifying opportunities for year-round benefit education. It partners closely with Associates to provide operational support, schedule planning discussions ahead of enrollment periods, and ensure campaigns align with each client’s benefit administration platform and internal processes. The position promotes best practices, offers consultative support on messaging approaches, and ensures communication efforts reflect a high standard of clarity, accessibility, and relevance.

The Enrollment Communication Leader also collaborates with internal teams including Marketing and Product to support the development of digital materials, benefit descriptions, mobile tools, videos, and other communication assets. Acting as a subject matter expert in benefit communication strategy, this role brings insight into industry trends and delivery methods that enhance employee engagement.

In addition to execution responsibilities, the position tracks engagement metrics, analyzes campaign performance, and provides actionable reporting to leadership to inform continuous improvement and strategic planning. The Associate Enrollment Communication Leader plays a vital role in helping employees make informed benefits decisions, while supporting client satisfaction and contributing to overall business growth through increased enrollment participation.

Performance Outcomes

Client & Associate Engagement

  • Serve as the primary contact for Business Solutions clients on enrollment communication and education activities.
  • Collaborate with internal Associates to identify client-specific enrollment opportunities and provide operational support for execution.
  • Promote best practices in communication and enrollment strategy to Associates and their clients.

Strategic Planning & Campaign Execution

  • Lead and prioritize planning discussions ahead of Open Enrollment to ensure communication strategies are tailored, timely, and impactful.
  • Drive adoption of communication and education campaigns throughout the year to support enrollment during key decision points, including Open Enrollment and Evergreen opportunities.

Platform & Process Alignment

  • Align communication and enrollment strategies with each client’s Benefit Administration platform and internal benefit processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure messaging and timing are adapted to each client’s systems and workflow requirements.

Content Development & Market Insights

  • Identify communication content needs and act as a subject matter expert in guiding Marketing on the creation of materials (e.g., flat sheets, benefit descriptions, websites, mobile apps, video, digital assets).
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging best practices in benefits communication to inform strategy and continuous improvement.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing (or similar) preferred.
  • High school Degree Required
  • 1-3 years business experience preferred.
  • Employee benefits experience a plus.
  • A proactive, resourceful, and self-directed work style required
  • Team oriented.
  • Strong persuasive writing skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
